Ferroseed: DA KILLAH
Ok so recently i made a ferroseed set using one of the most resourceful items available in gen 5, eviolite.
Ferroseed is pretty decent, but this set has always annoyed my opponents to my heart's content. xD
So without any further ado, here it is:
Pokemon Name: Ferroseed (duh)
Ivs: 31 sp. def, 31 def.
Evs: 124 hp, 4 atk, 124 def, 252 sp. def,
Ability: Iron Barbs
Nature: Careful
Item: Eviolite
Moves: Curse, Leech Seed, Protect, Gyro Ball.
Strategy:
Well eviolite adds a nice boost to ferroseed's defenses, which is the main point. I have had it live a flamethrower from a dragonite before, which is awesome, so basically it can withstand a non stabbed fire type move whose power is not above 100, which is again a good plus point. ^.^
(FACT: a 31 iv, 252 ev in sp. def or def, def/sp. def boosting natured ferroseed with eviolite has more defenses that a ferrothorn with all those qualifications minus the eviolite!?)
Curse raises attack (Awesome) and lowers speed (Also Awesome, why? read on) as you all know. Curse will increase gyro balls power whilst also increasing ferroseed's attack. Btw, i might give gyro ball couple of PP ups if i were you. So basic idea: leech seed, protect, curse (try to keep on cursing until desired) then sweep with gyro ball (i have done this before. ). Btw, after 4-5 curses, gyro ball gets so strong that it can do atleast 60% hp damage to a skarmory.
Ferroseed will battle strongly until it comes across a fire type. Then you can choose between switching or letting it be death fodder, i'd personally switch it and ko the fire type so ferroseed can resume killing. lol.
Good Luck and Have Fun!

Interesting set, however your walled by a ton of things. So I would suggest Power whip ( If it learns it) so you won't be walled by water types. And take out protect for that. :c

This set would work well with Magnezone to keep out Skarm. (Skarmory outstalls Ferroseed's Gyro PP with Roost.) With the right team support it could actually sweep pretty nicely.

Not bad. However, I think Sub MIGHT be more useful than Protect. You can block Burns, which essentially Render you useless. This thing would be a MONSTER with Trick Room support.
By the way Aizen, it doesn't get Power Whip. It gets Seed Bomb though.

I personally like the set. Fire types are problematic, especially when nowadays every special attacker uses hp fire or carries flamethrower.....ah well, hate walls and all those pokemon anyways. Hyper-offensive ftw!
