Omg my second post ever! haha today i’m analyzing good bulky Vaporeon. (:

Special Wall-Wish

Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

- Scald

Toxic stall for enemies, Wish is for both self recovery, and to recover teammates health. Leftovers for recovery, and Protect stalls all of it out an extra turn. Scald is for the burn, and hits for decent damage off of a 110 base special attack.

Wow, big. Acid Armor and Curse are for Passing on to other teammates. Heal Bell is for status clearing, Wish will heal your next pokemon for a fair bit of health. Yawn forces a switch or a sleep. Aqua Ring is the equivalent of Leftovers, you’ll have to correct me if it can’t be passed. Roar eliminates the opponents stat changes, gives them hazard damage, a wrecks their strategy. Helping Hand is to boost a teammates attack in a double battle. Baton Pass is to switch.

With both great defensive stats and a great Special Attack, Vaporeon makes a great Special Tank. Hydro Pump and Surf are your main STAB moves, with Hydro Pump having more power, and Surf more reliability. Ice Beam takes care of grass types, and HP Electric takes care of other water types. Shadow Ball is for another good move. Rain Dance boosts Hydro Pump and Surf’s power, and activates Hydration, giving it a great recovery move in Rest. Rain Dance also takes down a hindering sun. Life Orb is for the power boost, although as a tank, Vaporeon won’t be liking the recoil. Specs is for a power, and is going to super charge Hydro Pump. Leftovers is for Rainporeon, and Shell Bell is for recovery if your using the 4 attacks.

I analyzed the sets and this is what i think:
The first set is the basic stall vaporeon set you see now a days in 5th gen but some people run other EVs.
The second set is screwed by a roar/dragon tail/whirlwind.
And the third i dont think vaporeon can sweep even with the movepool you said, without a scarf it cant do nothing, the only thing vaporeon could do with that set and not die is rest every turn with rain dance up and hope the oponent doesnt get a crit, but yea nice sets =)

I think that the first set is pretty standard, so I can't really say anything about it, but if the opponent is going to be hit with toxic anyways, surf is a little more powerful.

the second set has too many weaknesses. taunters, phazers, hazers, etc. curse isn't very good to pass, and acid armor isn't too great either.

If you want to run rain dance, you can be kind of a rain dance supporter with something like this -

a little bit of a novelty set. set up rain dance for some swift swimmer with drizzle banned, abuse hydration with rest to get all of your hp back, and then baton pass out and allow your sweeper to have a few turns with the rain up. Acid armor helps with Tspikes down for stalling purposes and with a sassy nature, it is a rare creature that can get past this after a few boosts. toxic is for stalling, as with scald, which has a handy burn rate and has decent power with STAB, the rain, and 110 base special attack. It still won't be doing much, but you can tweak the EVs as neccessary to do more.
