Sprite Battle #3

Hii Reshiram here and this is the 3rd sprite battle. I will post an extremely hard to make sprite involving multiple pokemon (likely a fusion, which is when you combine the sprites of two or more pokemon). A simple way to do this is to use one sprite as the base and add parts from other sprites onto it.) Then who ever wants to posts a sprite made with the pokemon I mentioned (and you should point out what pokemon pieces are where so I know you used all the pokemon) and I'll say who won. This isnt pointless because you get a ribbon if you win. And did I mention you get 100 Dream Tokens if you win?

This challenge is most known pokemon. Magicarp, picachu, squirtle, charmander and bulbasaur.

p.s. Sorry i had to lower the amount of DT you get because Flash wanted me to.

I think I did pathetic on this, but here goes ._." Again, I did an uncolored and colored version.


The head is bulbasaur's head
The ears are squirtle's tail
The eyes are magikarp's eyes
The snout is areodactyl's snout
The body is charmander's body
The fins are magikarp's fins
The feet are pikachu's ears

Head, arms, and ear-horn thingies are Squirtle.
Main body and upper legs are Charmander. So is the flame on the tail.
The lower legs/feet are the top fin of Magikarp.
The non-flame part of the tail is Pikachu's tail flipped around.
And the coloring is all Bulbasaur.

Ok this is my entry.
The body is bulbasaur's
the ears are pikachu's
the head thing is magikarp's
the legs are squirtle's
and the tail is charmander's
I did not scratch anything. the color is also Squirtle's

I have no idea what I was doing... but here's my green demon king thing o-o

No...Massachusetts... and also, I looked at your profile, you're 19 right? That means you would be in senior district. I'm still 13 and in grade 8...

epicninjabear.... so using my grading system who do you think shound win?

sure thing =) just provide the grading points to me so i can confirm its accurate. rly its simple to do tho just grade how you think is accurate and add some bonus points in for some things.

Sorry for double-posting but this is my grading system.

I have already judged the winnner, but resh probably has a say too. If you are a contestant that does not mind criticism (I am one harsh judge) you can ask me to post the results.

I actually decided to kind of use my own grading system, using mostly things in different categories like such -

- Appeal - How nice the sprite looks overall, graded out of 15. This is worth a lot because the general appearance of a sprite is crucial.
- Mechanics - Starts with 10, subtracts for errors in shading, coloring, shadows etc. subtracts one for every blemish, for each category, can only subtract 8. Cannot go negative.
- Flow - This is slightly different than the other flow. It is how well the pieces join, as in proportion, out of 10. This also shows the skill with fusion.
- Sprite Composition/Creativity- If the sprite contest is specific pokemon, whether you use all of the pokemon or add in pokemon that are not supposed to be added. Otherwise, how well the pokemon were chosen and how well they go together. For composition, starts at 15 and goes down, for creativity, can be up to 5 points. The reason for the respective amounts of the two categories is because if you don’t do the contest, you can’t be in the contest, so following directions is crucial, and creativity is nice, but doesn’t make a good sprite necessarily.

I changed the grading system because some things were worth more than others. The maximum value is an A+, 55/55.

I discarded bonus points for scratching, because it is really part of appeal and flow.
