:( Oh no! Medical issues Empty :( Oh no! Medical issues

Post by Lynjabear Sat May 21, 2011 1:12 am

my parents brought me to the doctors for a regular checkup, and I have a few problems.

I have something wrong with a muscle in my eyes. Apparently, when you see, you only see one object o.o. I've always seen two, and people call this pernament "double vision."

I also have ADD. Darn.

Anyone else have depressing medical stuff? (Like my older brother's morning glory or my little brother's deafness)

No, I am not farming tokens or other things because frankly, I don't think I ever will get B/W (Sad). Therefore, I cannot use them.

Lol. We all know you aren't farming Dream Tokens.

Anyway, er....morning glory? I hope you don't mean it like I think you do.

As for myself, I had a seizure last year that resulted in having bad memory for a while. It was really frustrating.

Permanent double vision is a bad thing? You could save your self from a surprise ninja attack y'know. =3 Lol @ ADD. I don't really have any Medical Issues, except I could develop a type of back problem in which can slowly bring me to a point in which I can't breath anymore...(Sits back up)

Actually, double vision has one inconvenient. Each eye is supposed to form one image, then the brain uses the images formed by each eye and combine them into only one image. When both images are overlaped to form only one, you gain vision in three dimensions. Now if you don't form only one image, perhaps you only see in two dimension. But if you parcially overlap them, you might have some notion of deepness.

What's a retina? Seeing the word 'detached' I'm guessing it sounds painful.

Flash, a retina is a light-sensitive tissue lining the inner surface of the eye :3
And Epic, you have Morning glory syndrome? That's super rare!
Not that there's anything to be happy about that...

Got that right, Flash.
My older brother DID actually drop me on the head when I was younger,
so that explains a lot... XD
I actually fell on my nose, and had to get 1 stitch in the nostril :3 yay.
Again, when I was 4, I fell on my head AGAIN :O
this time, the whole skin ripped open, and they had to stitch up my forehead...
Which was pleasant.

My brother has Morning Glory. And its extremely rare in males, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coloboma_of_optic_nerve. This is the second time his retina has detached, the first a little while ago, but they did everything, lasers, gas bubbles, etc., so there's not really much to be done for his eye. He'll probably just lose sight in that eye...

Interstingly enough, with all of our medical issues and such, none of us have ever broken any bones. POssibly because we are forced to drink milk 3 times a day, which is cruel, considering I'm lactose intolerant as well....,

I have a lot of things I can't eat
-milk
-cheese
-cheesecake (bummer, its really good)
-Yogurt
-other dairy products

and things i'm allergic to
-kiwi (Sad)
-pineapple
-Watermelon
-dragonfruit
-starfruit
-cocunut

That sounds badass. I gotta get myself some dragonfruit.

Anyway, back on topic, I too have never broken a bone. Unless I have some sort of tragic accident *knocks on wood* I probably won't anytime soon, since I don't play any sports or anything like that. Again, just like you, I am also lactose intolerant. It was very severe when I was a small child. A little drink of milk could mean spending the night in the hospital (and it often did), but as I got older it wasn't nearly as bad, and now the only thing that happens if I consume dairy products (usually has to be a large amount, but just some milk can have an effect) is that my stomach feels a little uncomfortable.

That sucks though about your parents forcing you to drink milk. That almost sounds like too much calcium xD

I was sick for the first for years of my life. Nonstop. I was on adult doses of three medications. The sickness causes me now to get a sinus infection every time it rains. I can also predict rain because of it. In addition, my nose is many times more sensitive to smell than anyone else, almost comparative to a dog's. I also had a condition in my right thigh towards the pelvis that involved something resembling a bone spur. It was a 1/100,000 chance for people, 1/1,000,000 for a person of my age at the time ( 8 ). Then, I had it again, which made it something like a 1/2,000,000,000 chance. But of course, someone had to get it. It doesn't affect me anymore. I also have somewhat severe scoliosis. It really blows. Plus my metabolism is absolute dog shit, so if I even look at a pizza, I can gain weight.

I feel really bad for you Sad. I actually have a metabolism that is almost too high, because I eat non-stop. I eat about 3.5 LBS of food a day. It doesn't sound like a lot, but I am 5' 1" and a girl so its a lot. I've eaten more than my mom since practically ever, and I'm always hungry.

worse problems - tomorrow, I'm going to Children's because there's something wrong with my knee that I haven't figured out yet. Darn.
