DW 1v1 Win Set

DW 1v1 is a tier that is OU, dream world, with a catch - the teams are made up of one pokemon only. Here is my favorite set in that tier -



Jelly (Reuniclus) (F) @ Flame Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Trick
- Protect
- Recover
- Psychic

Protect turn 1 to ensure a burn and guard against statusers such as breloom. From there, trick the burn and stall with recover and protect, using psychic as STAB for damage.

I believe there is one counter to this.

Wouldn't choice Pokemon just dominate this tier because they can outspeed and OHKO most other common picks?

There are choiced pokemon such as scarfrachi, with iron head, trick, zenheadbutt, and fire punch, and yes, they do work well. However, pokemon such as dragonite, which can survive multiple hits, can murder these, as well as bounce/statusers, such as whimsicott and breloom. FEAR pokemon are especially prominent as well, such as aron and tailow.
