Counter-tar?

We were on the chatbox, discussing tyranitar's competitive abilities, and wondering what sets could be feasible. The other chatbox members told of mixtar, tyraniboah, and DDtar, but gave me odd looks (is that possible on a chatroom?) when I mentioned my counter-tar. To further explain, this is the set -

Tyranitar (Terrence)
@ Lum Berry/Focus Sash

- Earthquake/Stone Edge
- Fire Punch
- Pursuit/Crunch

Sand Stream

Adamant

172 hp, 168 Attack, 88 Def, 80 SpD

This set is...interesting. This is meant as a lead to set up Sandstorm, and also, to take out the opponent's lead as well. Counter is the important piece here, allowing it to do things tyranitar never dreamed, of, such as taking out swampert and hippowdon with counter. The defense Evs allow it to survive such blows and still take enough damage to 0hko. In generation 5, it may be better to use a different spread, relocating the defense EVs to speed, as many powerful leads can 0hko anyways. From the transition to gen 5, the focus sash may be the better option, though it leaves tyranitar vulerable to will-o-wisp users such as ninetales and sleep inducers. With the focus sash, tyranitar can provide an unpleasant surprise to Excadrill, after his lead swtiches and puts down SR. taunt may be a good move becase of SR, if you want to prevent it.

This is intended for OU use, and was also created in Gen 4, and I don't really have much experience with it in Gen 5, so its kind of like a test.

Hey I think this set is really cool. With it's natural Bulk it should be able to live a phisical hit and counter back.

The only problem I see with the set is that Tyrantiar won't have the speed to finish it off. I think Metal Burst Aggron serves the role better. Thats just my opinion though.
