New Semester!
Welcome back to school, ladies. I've got a new semester on my plate, coming off of a 4.0 in the most difficult class I've ever taken in my life. It was one of those "No A even if it kills me" teachers, but she had no choice when it came down to praising my impeccable work ethic, my blaring modesty, and my striking good looks.
ANYWAYS.
If you're in college, I can presume that you've started new classes, just as I do. What are your new classes?
Mine are:
Communications: Public Speaking:// 9:00-9:50 Mon-Wed-Fri
Psychology:// 1:00-1:50 Mon-Wed-Fri
Statistics 7:// 2:00-4:00 Mon-Wed
Ethics:// 12:30-1:45 Tues-Thurs
Geography:// 6:00-9:00 PM Wed

Have fun with your 8:00 class. It's hell for me getting up at 7:00 since I got out of the swing of it. I feel like my shower is going to leave me asleep and impaled on the water spout and I'll wake up in my own blood.

Re: New Semester!
7?
a...ha...
I have a train to take at 6:42 AM so I can get to class 20 minutes early. It's a little over an hour commute. 7 AM waking up in the morning, and I'm already screwed.
Yay city school.
Compared to last semester though, it's so much better. I had to do the above everyday 5 times a week. Now I only have to do it once.

That's really nice. I have a ten minute commute to a parking lot made for five hundred cars that has to occupy nearly three thousand. I park very far away. LOL

Re: New Semester!
Well we can't declare a major until Junior Year for us here at Hunter College, so officially, undecided.
What I am thinking of though is either Anthropology or maybe even Chem if I continue to like it. Spanish Minor wouldn't be a bad thing to do either.

I see I see. What's lead you to anthropology? Just a general interest? Any particular event that swayed you towards it?

Re: New Semester!
I took a class in High School and I found it really interesting as a topic, but that was more physical Anthropology. I tried a Cultural Anthropology class during last semester of college, and I completely disliked it. On the contrary, I really liked how Chem wound up. So still deciding and stuff.

Re: New Semester!
Last semester before I get to experience all the wonders and joys of modern secondary education.
Calculus BC (Essentially Calc II but with all the hand holding of high school, material is still challenging though) 8:30-10:00
Senior Project (Japanese self-study) 10:10-11:40
English IV (British Lit based) 11:50-1:50
Science Fiction (Yes, it's a class) 2:00-3:30
Going for computer science major in college and considering minoring in moonspeak. If I meet my goals for the semester and continue to study through the summer, I could possibly test into the 4th/5th level of Japanese since non-European language courses at colleges are always snail-paced.
Oh, and calculus at 8:30 fucking sucks.

Re: New Semester!
Your schedule makes me want to shoot myself. British based literature classes are so BORING. It's all poetry and sonnets and desu. American literature is so much more fun, because it's all about foreign cultures and their problems (see Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry!, Cry Freedom!, The House on Mango Street, To Kill a Mockingbird, etc.). Additionally, Calculus is really.... Blech. I just hate higher math. Too much calculation required for one problem, I'd rather take a class where there isn't five different opportunities to i am the lolicon up on each of the ten steps of each question, each of which resulting in a penalty of missing the ENTIRE question.

Re: New Semester!
No clue what my major is. Technically still not in college, just babby college, so I have time to decide. I'm currently thinking Astrophysics, Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Chemistry, or Epigenetics.
also been toying with being a lawyer because lol talking people into corners.

You like all of the expensive degrees. But hey, if that's your passion, then sure.
Message to all aspiring lawyers: difference between forcing your beliefs down other peoples' throats/emphasising your personalised opinion and presenting solid factual evidence for nearly every sentence you speak is a broad gap. Remember that argumentative gratification is only a small percentage of your task. This doesn't apply to anyone in particular, but since the subject came up, I thought I'd mention it.
