Riley:

The bouncer brings in his friend who trades you the entry ticket for the slugs.
"Alright, show's about to start. Go on through."

The cloaked figure doesn't turn around but acknowledges you.

"Oh you're awake. I don't know what you're doing out this far in uncharted territory unless you have a death wish or something. I'm taking you back to the village if you don't mind. Help yourself to some water in the pouch by Miko's fin there. Don't worry, he won't bite. Just relax and enjoy the ride, alright?"

Since you'll be on this narwhal for a while, you can't really do much right now unless you want to make a phone call.

Proceed to head into the show, get as close to the stage as possible.

Riley:

You make your way down the velvet aisles of the misty room amongst the crowd of casino patrons and take a seat up in the front. A waiter passes out drinks to the attendants and a host appears on stage. "Ladies in gents, hope you enjoyed the previous act of our star comedian, we will be moving on to our special appearance by none other than... Hazel and The Bloodstars!"

The curtains slide open and as the fog clears and lights center on stage, you see Hazel and a backup band emerge. Hazel taps the microphone a few times and begins to sing.

The narwhal stops at a town settled around an oasis, and the cloaked rider lets you off.
"Feel free to stay around. We got plenty of stores and inns around here. Our food's not that great but ever since we were raided by pirates, there hasn't really been much to offer."

After the show ends, approach Hazel.

"Hey doll. Miss me?"

Riley:

"Corona, you actually made it! It's hard to forget someone who gives me a nice new horse head trophy mount. You know how much I like obscure gifts. So what have you been up to?"

"Long story short: some pirate captain managed to liberate his imprisoned crew and threw a man into the desert for dead. They thought they'd celebrate by pillaging our town. When I heard of someone being lost in the desert, I immediately went out to look for him. I assumed that person was you, but seeing as how you don't know of the pirates I must have found the wrong person."

Riley:

"Holy shit, you actually got some. I wonder what this stuff actually tastes like..."

Hazel pours herself a shot and downs it. After a few seconds her eye twitches and she coughs.

"Damn that did not go down smooth...

I don't know what the big deal is, it's kinda tastes like bad medicine...

Kinda feel strange...

I want to attack something... right now."

"Well you should rest now. Staying too long out there isn't good for anyone's health. There's not a whole lot to see, but you're welcome to stay here for a while. I'll be venturing back out to look for any other lost ones out there."

So whattya wanna do? Wanna 'find the generator or something?

Riley:

"Uhh... yeah, yeah. Sure. Feeling kinda fidgety all of a sudden. I don't have any idea where the generator is though."

Well why don't we look around a bit then? Can't hurt. Mine was at the top of a building, so maybe that's where we should start.

Riley:

"Huh? Oh, okay."
You exit the theater with Hazel and notice that the casino has gone deathly silent. The once vibrant lighting has dimmed, and the crowd has cleared out entirely. A flash of lightning cracks outside the window, and a group of masked men surround you two.

"Riley Corona," one of them step forward to address you. "Our boss would like to meet with you... something about... unfinished business. It was convenient of you two to be together in the same place; made it a lot easier on us. You either come with us peacefully, or be dragged by force."

Kal:

"Kid, are you serious?" the man looks back at you with mixed feelings of amusement and skepticism. "No, stay here. If there's anyone out there, I'll try my best to find them. Honestly, you'd just be a burden. I can't risk you passing out from exhaustion out there. Do you always just try to deliberately throw yourself in danger despite other peoples' warnings like that? Sheesh."

The man climbs back onto his narwhal and heads back into the desert.
