The Songbird
First off, while Meloetta is a strong special attacker, she is by no means limited to that role. With the use of Relic Song, her specific move, Meloetta becomes an INCREDIBLY strong physical attacker (it also has a chance to put the target to sleep). Pair this with her ability, Serene Grace, you can get some truly nasty sets.So I'll be sharing some of my favorite sets for my favorite Pokemon from 5th Gen.
~Offensive Calm Mind~
Meloetta @ Life Orb
Timid
252 Sp. Attack/252 Speed
-Calm Mind
-Psyshock/Psychic
-Focus Blast
-Thunderbolt/Shadow Ball/Grass Knot/Energy Ball/Hidden Power Whatever
Well, it's pretty much easy to understand. You set up a Calm Mind or two. Hit things in face. And hope to sweep. It's cool and all, has decent coverage, blah blah blah.

~Physical Attacker~
Meloetta @ Life Orb
Naive
252 Attack/252 Speed
-Relic Song
-Close Combat
-Shadow Claw
-U-Turn
While her physical movepool is not as strong as her special movepool, she still puts out tons of damage. Naive is so Relic Song does as much as possible, Close Combat hits Steels, Rocks, whatever. Shadow Claw hits what Close Combat doesn't. Shadow Claw also recieves a higher critical hit rating due to Serene Grace. U-Turn is to switch out and still do damage. She does get access to Stone Edge, but I personally prefer Shadow Claw. It also gets Acrobatics and Wake Up Slap, but I don't really think either is particularly viable.
---
~Bulky Calm Mind~
Meloetta @ Leftovers
Bold
200 HP/252 Defence/56 Speed
-Calm Mind
-Psychic/Psyshock
-Focus Blast
-Thunderbolt/Grass Knot/Energy Ball/ Whatever I listed up there.
This is the same as the Offensive Calm Mind set, but utilizes Meloetta's natural bulk in HP and Special defense, as well as her decent Natural Special Attack. Her HP is rather high, and her damage is good as well. While this is not a wall, it is not nessecarily a sweeper either. Think of it as a kind of Suicune. It's bulky, it hits hard, and it is obnoxious.
---
~Work Up~
Meloetta @ Life Orb
Naive
124 Attack/128 Special Attack/252 Speed
-Work Up
-Relic Song
-Close Combat
-Shadow Ball/Shadow Claw
I actually haven't tested this set, but it seems viable. Use a Work Up, and Wall Break. Even when she switches to her Physical Form, she still has OK Special Attack, and a boosted Relic Song is nothing to Scoff at. I think I'm going to test this a bit, so if somebody reminds me, I could get back to you on it.
And thats pretty much it. If you have any other good Meloetta sets, feel free to post them below.
