Pokemon Clear Emerald v1.1.6.12 (Updated 1/19)

Intro

I started this hack years ago when I got into pokemon ROM hacking and havent touched in in a long while. now that Im bored and already made a hack of pokemon BW and released it, I wanna keep going with my hacking hobby, and unfortunately someone beat me to doing BW2 hacks

Features

-A few modifications to the Team Magma / Aqua conflict. you are now part of a pokemon gang named Team Arco.
-You can battle a few fellow team members in the game, their Pokemon are modified to be competitive.
-There is a building east of the Sky Pillar named the Arco Trade Station. I completely forgot what I made it for but it's there with scripted people to talk to. I will figure out what to do with this place later.
-There is an underground EV-training station. There are 3 entrances around Hoenn. You must find them for yourself.

I didn't get to trainer editing and wild Pokemon editing, that is what I am doing now. If you wanna help out with this and get credit for your help, post here and wait until I make a few baseline modifications.

IMPORTANT: When you get to the Weather Institute and Shelly disappears, the screen will get really funky. If you don't want your game to freeze and make me look like a complete noob, say Yes when it asks if you want to give the Castform a nickname. You can just go to Ok on the nickname screen if you dont really wanna give it a nickname. When you exit the nickname input screen thing, the game should be back to normal.

no it's not finished yet. once i get confirmed all the events work I will be adding more events, and at the moment Im editing trainers and wild Pokemon. I added a poll to the original post by the way.

I'll be sure to give it a whirl when I'm done. Emerald was always one of my favorites, so this should be a great time!

I have been having an urge to replay Hoenn or Sinnoh for a while now, so I'll be looking forward to whichever!

Just so everyone knows, I am still working on the hack (Clear Emerald). It would have been more done if I didn't screw up and overwrite one of the ROM files the other night

I'm currently finished up to Rustboro City, I will release the first version when I finish Mauville City. This is so people have a decent amount of time to play while I make more updates.

Not bad I'll check it out :3 sucks about the overwrite I know that feel.

finished v1.0.3.0! the game is playable up to Mauville City. I do NOT recommend using traded pokemon until you get there - they will level up very quickly. There should be enough good pokemon in the grass to keep you entertained anyway. crawl around Petalburg woods and route 116 for a while.

I made an important level update for trainers in Dewford town and on - if you got this far and are a little overleveled, I strongly suggest you upgrade to the new version. Your sav file should work fine.

Would it be possible for anyone to upload a pre-patched version of this? My computer doesn't allow me to download Lunar ISP, so I can't do this on my own...

I would post a prepatched ROM if it were legal. and wouldnt get the forum here in trouble. Im very surprised there isnt a rule about this .-.

I patched my emerald, but I can't open it with VBA, do I have to use a different emulator?

@Phanpy, VBA should work fine, that is what I'm using.

I apologize for lack of updates right now, I had some technical difficulties and had to revert a bunch of changes I made. You can expect the next version to be done in 3 - 5 days. It will be done up to Meteor Falls. 2 new custom scripts will be added.

v1.1.5.11 is out! The game is playable up to Lavaridge Town (left off editing Flannery). To clarify, you can go to Meteor Falls and face Team Magma, go up to Mt Chimney and own them, and then beat Flannery.
