Re: The Missing Constellation
Well, do you think you could take me to some place where I can buy some new clothes maybe? Or at least point me in the correct direction? I don't want to be hazed.
Side note to author: Also, can I have an update of my inventory?

(Your inventory is currently empty, and your skills will be reworked once you get to a certain point)

"New clothes? There's some extra shawls in the community charity pool. Of course pirates don't steal from there because the things in there are practically worthless to them... either that or they do have standards after all."

Well, since I'm not quite interested in fashion at this point in time, looks like I'll have to have you direct me and or take me to that community charity pool center. If you would be so kind. Do you have a name I can call you?

"Sure thing, It's the hut next to the small pond about a several ways east of here, can't miss it. I really don't know what business you have here, stranger, but I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for." The man says as he waves and flies off.

You move to the pond where you see people tossing lotus petals into it and lighting candles near a shrine. You help yourself to the charity and obtain some local garb.

Don the garb and ask the people where I can obtain money and defense mechanisms.

You approach the people and openly ask where you can find money and "defense mechanisms". They simply exchange looks of skepticism with each other and continue about their business. In retrospect, you realize that asking what you asked made you look like some sort of insane beggar. The people ignore you and continue dropping lotus petals into the pond.

Maybe demons was a bit of a stretch. All I'm saying is, whenever someone needs help you're the first one on the scene, but you never seem to ask for help. I'm just curious why that is, doll.

"Well, I've really never been in distress... I suppose? I'm always glad to help anyone in need, and I guess I never... really... needed help. While we're on the topic, I guess it's only fair to ask. If you don't mind telling, why are you doing all of this? You haven't really made clear your motives to why you're helping all of us. You've put your life in danger on several occasions just to find us. In the end, do you genuinely wish to save us all? Or is this some elaborate ploy so that in the end we are all but pawns in your grand mafia-related scheme?"

You return to the main center of town. A lady passes by and kindly hands you a load of bread as you go about your way. The town is active with pedestrians in the marketplace, exchanging goods as others sit or lay lazily about, reading books, talking with one another, or smoking from hookah pipes.

You look around to see if there's anyone interesting enough to have a conversation with and you find a troubled looking scholar looking a bit frantic and anxious at a table.

"Hm?" The scholar looks up at you. "Oh... It's just that, some pirate ambushed me and tried to rob me blind. He tried to steal my map but it gone torn in the struggle and he made off with half of it. There's no way he can find entrance to the ruins with only one half, so I assume he's stranded in the desert somewhere. I really need that half back."

Re: The Missing Constellation
If I'm entirely honest, there's some people I don't want to save as much as others. However, while we all had our differences, we had a community. As it is, we've kinda been blackballed into playing this demented game. I figure there's power in numbers, and to be quite frank, no mechanical floozy or lightning Kendo fighter can really get the edge on all of us, if you're followin' what I'm saying, doll.

Well, bounty hunting isn't much of a forte for me. Can you draw me a picture of this pirate? Also, I guess I could go after him. But seeing as he's historically hostile, is there any place I can.... Maybe arm myself or acquire defence?

"I'm not really an artist I can't draw an image of perfect semblance to people. He won't be hard to find, he'll probably be the only pirate stupid enough to run off into the desert without supplies. I don't think he'll be much of a threat to a child if he's been out there from since he's taken my half of the map, probably passed out in the heat, I'll bet. If you want, I can go with you to find him, I'd like a few words with this corsair myself."
>
Riley:
"I am picking up what you are putting down... if I'm phrasing that correctly. I suppose I'll leave you with whatever motives you may have... and I'll be sure to request any assistance provided it's not any trouble, so you won't feel the need to believe I'm shutting anyone out."
"We're here," Ivan addresses the both of you. You all stop at a gated fence, leading into a hermitage. "Malachai has informed me that a possible automaton in the vicinity of that building... although I must say it looks pretty small to be a hiding place for a robot. If it's anything like Leonid's laboratory, then I'm guessing it expands downward beneath the ground. From when I last spoke to Vahn, he managed to destroy the Distortion Generator from where he was, however I'm picking up erratic fluctuations from this building. They must have rebuilt it and placed it in there... and if they did, the female bipedal machine must be guarding it for sure. Speaking of Vahn... I'm picking up a trace on his phone. He must be nearby as well. Knowing how spontaneous the guy can be... you left on good terms last you spoke with him... right?"

Re: The Missing Constellation
Not exactly. He kind of hates our guts, at least last we heard. Malachai was actually originally with Vahn. Regardless, I believe we should tread with caution.

I would appreciate that. Bring us some supplies, since I'm sure that we'll need the upper hand. Otherwise, we should be good to go! Point me in the right direction.

The scholar suddenly chippers up with enthusiasm! "Great! Let's find him! No need to worry about supplies, I have plenty of food and water to keep us going! My map had the safest route to the ruins away from desert beast territory, and I can calculate a general direction from my half and we should be able to find the thief!" The scholar unravels a blank scroll and jots down several lines and landmark indicators and shows it to you. There are three possible trails to follow that may lead up to the pirate, which shall you take?
>Take the North trail, through the high dune pass
>Take the Northwestern trail, through the caves
>Take the Northeastern trail, through the oasis river
Riley:
Ivan directs Malachai to saw off the lock on the gate, and an entrance is made into the house. From the outside, it looks absolutely dilapidated and run-down, and from the inside it looks like a normal home, with a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a set of stairs going up.
